- Victims’ right to speak at sentencing after a felony conviction and passage of an amendment to allow a family member to speak when the victim is deceased even when the disposition of a case does not result in a homicide.
- Expansion of pilot program initiated in 1991(four counties) and expanded (statewide) in 1993 to allow victim and victim representative (when a victim is deceased) to meet with a Parole Board member to give an oral victim impact statement in addition to a written statement. A report of this statement will be made available to the Parole board when an inmate is considered for possible parole.
